I was very pleased with myself when I managed to put a background image onto an OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet. However I was not so pleased when I realised I'd put it in slightly the wrong place. So how do you remove or modify an OOo background image?
- Open the navigator: Edit / Navigator (or simply press F5)
- Select the graphics you want to delete / move / resize within the Navigator: it select your image so that you can do this
I knew it would be simple, but it took me ages to work out exactly what to do.

To put a background image onto OOo:
- Insert / Picture / from file
- Select image & resize
- right click / Arrange / to background

Thanks! To insert, I tried Format, Page, Background but it wouldn't show.
In current LibreOffice, Navigator is under the View menu.
